Nico perks up at the Italian. He graciously ignores the insults and offers a hand to help the other boy out of the fountain.

"I'm Nico di Angelo, from Venice," he said in Italian. "It's nice to meet you."

If Gokudera pays attention, or knows anything about Venice, he'll notice Nico dialect is an older one, from the 1930s.
