Hmm. "Boring" is certainly a word to describe it, I suppose. But that depends on how you look at it! From your perspective, I think you'd serve yourself better by thinking of your time here as a breather from having to worry about your boss so much. Conserve your strength, as you just put it. And if you find your hands itching for want of doing something physical, I'm sure you'll find plenty willing partners here, all from other worlds.
