What a predicament they were in. Both wanted to the best for each other and yet, they found themselves not sure what to do. After everything they been through, all Ken wanted to do was to hope that Shinjiro could have a better life here. Despite Ken trying to reassure his teammate that he did nothing amazing, it seemed that he might have made things worse.

Looking up from the carriage, he thought about arguing against him. He really didn't do anything that great. While he had to admit to himself that it does take a strong person to keep moving forward, he had his friends back him up. Without them, he really would have quit.

Chuckling to himself, he shook his head. "You really don't want me to feel down on myself, do you? You're really making hard when you're trying to cheer me up..."

Now that Ken thought about it, this was the first time he laughed since he went here. Not that he could blame anyone for how serious everything was. Still, it felt as if the weight on his shoulders disappeared for that one moment.

"I could say something to you in return but I have the feeling you probably wouldn't want that, do you?"
