It'd be far from the most insulting thing Gen was called - and usually, the person who insulted him on the regular did so affectionately at this point. It'd been a while since someone teased him for his hair, though. Last happened when he was around that kid's age, which made him think it was kind of adorable.

"Posters, television, I've written a few books ... all before the petrification, of course," Gen remarked casually, like it was no big deal. He thought it would spark a great many questions, letting him eventually talk up Senku's genius. If his scientist was going to study this place, he'd need willing volunteers. "Mm. Maybe I should write another, it's been a long time."

Discretely, he'd move so he's upwind of the cigarette smoke, not wanting to breathe it in - but also not wanting to be obvious about it. Gen was usually (when not filled with jealousy-inducing pollen) good at being subtle.
