His expression flickers a bit as the small creature chomps down on his finger, softening somewhat, but his eyebrows lift as it draws some substance out of his hand. After the initial alarm ebbs, he surmises that it must be the corruption that should have killed him. The gloom. Is it safe for Tem to consume the stuff? It certainly doesn't seem to be bothered by it, at any rate...
He does feel somewhat lighter, or perhaps more heartened. As if he's returned to the surface after spending too much time in the Depths. That, too, should be unsurprising -- this is what the tapirs do, as he now recalls.]
