After a few minutes, Alastor walked back into view, footsteps clicking like hooves. He politely cleaned his claws of what remaining gore clung to them with a handkerchief.
"There. That should buy you at least one night without her skitting around in the dark." He darkly chuckled. "She was certainly ill-prepared for someone like me."
He neatly folded up the handkerchief and slipped it back in his pocket.
"Apologies, but in all the excitement I appear to have neglected the social niceties." He held out his hand. "Alastor! Pleasure to meet you! Quite a pleasure!"
