"Honestly, it started with trying to wrap my mind around it in general. While it does exist in the world I once lived in, it was so rare that it was thought to be fictional. A power that could do literally anything you desired? Imagine the possibilties!

"Yet the more I studied and initially struggled to cast even the simplest spell, the more I realized that magic isn't as lawless as one might think. It's using energy to replace other components to speed up the process of whatever you're trying to do. It doesn't break the rules at all."

He flicked a wrist, a ball of fire hovering over his palm.

"Fire requires three things: an initial spark, fuel, and air. A flame like this is conjured using magic to replace the spark and the fuel. However, I can't use something like snow as a fuel even with magic since it doesn't burn.

"It's fascinating."
