"Honestly, I have being basically powerless during my living existence to thank for that. I hadn't the magic to light a match much less set a forest ablaze like I could do now," Alastor admitted. "Every bit of power I had to ask for and be ready with a mundane alternative for if that request was denied. Lots of ritual and rootwork, careful planning to be positively ruthless with power management in the event I was graced with the tiniest hint of magic to perform a task.
