He was aware of the fire that was suddenly breathed at him, and before it could incinerate that area that he had previously been standing, he teleported in a swirl of black smoke to the other side of the dragon and discharged his shotguns as soon as he reappeared again.

Yet, he was already moving, not willing to immediately risk a sweep of that tail as he did what he could to annoy the dragon.
