hiyori pulls upward on the broom with all her strength and clenched teeth. for a half-phantom with one foot in the living world (?) that's a lot of strength. and just before they slam back into the earth, hurting themselves and possibly even others, the broom swoops back into the air, and they're up in the sky. wind whips at her face, forcing her to squint against it as she breathes a sigh of relief. for the moment, they're safe. just in time, too.
because the view from up high is pretty incredible. ]

[ okay, sure, she should probably still be concerned about how they're going to get down. he would get an elbow to the gut if she realized he had his arm around her and his chin on her shoulder, too. honestly, she should be using this vantage point to look around for her unconscious body anywhere too, but
but she's not. she's beaming as they fly around the carnival and she can see everything. even the labyrinth they had been in! she laughs brightly, as taken in as she had been the first time she walked on powerlines and felt as light as air. ]
This is amazing! Can I steer-- [ before she even finishes her sentence, she nudges the broom a little to the left and they VEER that way. a little sharply. almost too sharply. she tilts to the right with a yelp. ]
