... I would say it appears to be some sort of... extraordinarily sickly Zora, but that is most certainly not the case if this is indeed a cultural exhibit of a kind.

Of the other creatures, the twisted one begins approaching more carefully as the talisman is presented, the wary stalking of a predator awaiting an efficient opportunity to strike. Its jaw opens - too wide - to hiss and screech, as though to create that opportunity for itself in the form of a moment of shaken focus. As it does, the first finally claws its other limb free, and resumes its charge, angered enough to disregard the risk to itself the ward might pose.
