[Well, here's hoping he isn't disappointed.]

[Alastor's grin widens with vicious glee.]

While the woman did have the power to bind spirits, she needed something connected to a spirit to properly complete the poppet to control it. Foolishly, she'd never thought to take anything from her former targets. And with the only poppet she'd made controlling the original spirit gone, she was left defenseless.

She fled from her home, through the streets of old Nawlins, and into the bayou with a hunting party of righteously-angry spirits on her heels. Though her neighbors saw her running, they didn't dare try to assist her in fear of the wrath of the ghosts.

A search party followed her into the bayou the next day, but even though they searched for four days, not a trace of the woman was ever found.

Yet you'll periodically hear stories of someone entering the bayou to hunt or forage only to encounter a woman half-mad with terror racing to them and begging for help, clad in clothes decades out of date. But before they can give her assistance, the sound of a hunting party of foot will be heard and the woman will flee into the swamp, vanishing once more. Everyone agrees that it's her, still running to evade the wrath of her victims.
