And there it was. As Ken listened in, he didn't know just how much he should say. In the back of his mind, he wondered what his leader would say. He was always the one who knew what to say in these kinds of situations. Not only that, but he also always knew how to cheer someone up.

However, Ken wasn't him and he had to be his own hero in this story. Crossing his arms, he struggled to figure out might help Iroh. Of course, Ken was lucky that he never experienced the hardships of war but he knew a thing or two about losing a family member.

"...And the fact that you learned it quickly makes you a stronger person. Not everyone can see that and especially when people would think of getting revenge. In some cases, they would probably seek out the killer in hopes that it would ease their pain."

Especially now that he learned the hard way. It was a shame that it took him so long to realize it.

"But I can understand where you are coming from. I know I can't imagine the loss of a family member and especially in that manner."

And yet, it seems like he knew a thing or two about it.
