[ Whenever Simon takes the time to actually think about his situation, a kind of hysterical laughter bubbles up in him that he has to force himself to suppress.
It’s just – isn’t it ironic? After that damn Edgeworth ruined everything, and he thought he was fated to a life of imprisonment forever, he finds himself here… pulled right into a dream in more ways than one. The three bastards who ruined his life are, presumably, nowhere to be found, and he doesn’t have to run away from anyone anymore… The taste of freedom is so unfamiliar that he doesn’t know what to do with it.
His only regret is that Dogen couldn’t be here with him. And that some other version of him is still out there, presumably being dragged off to jail, is somewhere between unsettling and infuriating to think about... Even so, though - there’s a part of him that he doesn’t want to acknowledge that feels empty. A part of him that wonders, now that he’s completed his revenge... what is he supposed to do? There’s nothing worth living for in this world. But like hell he’s going to roll over and give up…!
Of course, he’s not exactly happy right now, being stuck in a blizzard and all. After all, Simon can’t stand the cold. Not only is the bitter cold agonizing in itself; but it brings unpleasant, bitter memories to the surface that make him feel sick with a feeling he hates more than anything.
He’s not afraid. He’s not. But can anyone blame him for wanting to get away?
Once he spots someone, he decides to play the fool like he’s always done before. If he’s lucky, he’ll get someone to help him out – not without an ulterior motive on their side, he’s sure, and he hates to be in anyone’s “debt”, but he doesn’t have many other options right now. ]

[ This whole situation… is absurd in every way possible. Standing awkwardly in a body now made of candy and desserts from head to toe, Simon can say without a doubt that this is the strangest thing he’s ever experienced in his life. And he works in the circus.
At least everyone else is stuck in the same situation. Still… having to play a game of dice just to get by – isn’t this all a bit too ridiculous?
As he rolls the die, he briefly wonders what Knightley would think if he could see him now. …And immediately curls his lip in distaste.
What number will it land on…? Either way, it looks like he’s not going to be alone! ]

[ As Simon stares into the mirror... he doesn't even try to resist the feeling that takes over him.
Why would he? After all, isn't it true? It's better to be alone than to suffer. People can't be trusted, and the only person you can count on in life is yourself. He's never had doubts about those things, so even as he begins to freeze over... there's a twisted kind of smile on his face that never quite leaves.
...He's always hated the cold... but maybe, ever since he was a kid... it was always meant to be this way. ]
