Gabriel for his part had gone from relief that the plum was doing it work, to a brief spike of fear at the mention of him being a hero, to total confusion. This was, unmistakably, Adrien. But also not Adrien. There was no way he could have changed his hairstyle that much since Gabriel'd last seen him. Could it have something to do with what he and Nooroo had been discussing since Markov had picked up those strange signals?
No this wasn't the time or place to speculate. Though the most immediate danger was largely past, the two of them were still in a very bad situation. "Adrien?", the tone was a bit less certain now, as if asking for confirmation of the boy's name. "Something.... something very strange is going on here, even beyond the obvious. But whatever else may be happening, we can't stay here. We need to find shelter before dealing with anything else." Preferably warm shelter but even just getting out of the wind would be an improvement.
