Sounds like this guy knows what Paris is. Her grandmother Marie has called it home as soon as Nicholas, Anya’s father, ascended to the throne. Little Anya had always wanted to visit her in Paris for as long as she can remember. If Olga can visit the City of Lights as a baby, she can too, which happened when she set off on her journey to find Marie with Vlad and Dmitri.
She would have asked him what has become of her grandmother and her adopted home town but right now she has to reassure him that things don’t move on without them.

We all have forms that live in this realm created from the very same energy this place is made of. We call it dreamotion energy. A mix of dream energy and emotion energy, it is what fuels this world.”
She continues to say, “Meanwhile everything at home, when you fall asleep and arrive here, time stands still. Nobody wouldn’t notice that we’re here unless they go to sleep and show up in this place too. If anyone here chooses to wake up in the waking world, their counterpart here will vanish until they come back again.”
