Oddly, it felt as if he and Jack were thriving in this dream of the Ice Queens where nightmare energy seemed to have greater effect than regular dreamotion. They had slipped into the dream assuming that they would be holding the line against any dangers, but instead, they had began to work together to align the shards with their unique control over nightmare energy and their abilities to absorb vast amounts of it.
When the shards came under attack from the monstrous noctaere, Reaper hissed in aggravation. They had just put those together! Cabron! However, the swell of nightmare energy when a shard was consumed hit him, and he moved to be closer so that his body could drink in the energy. His smoke tendrils grew thicker in response, lashing out at the noctaere.
"76, a little help," he growled at his partner. Jack had as much capacity as him, though he wouldn't be the greatest edgelord of all time if he couldn't absorb more, of course. Yet, as the more absorbed, the more his thoughts warped until a black wolf with a cheshire's smile and white eyes pulled from his body. Tentacles of nightmare energy unfurled from its back and it gave a coughing chortle. Then howled to summon its packmate....
