[ They had been in Shinra Tower, Rufus having just taken the seat at what used to be his father's desk, what is now his desk, with Tseng taking his place behind him. The events leading up to it were a whirlwind and, after they'd been alone once the others left, Tseng closed his eyes for five minutes... And now he has found himself lost in a forest that is completely unfamiliar.

It feels wrong, like he shouldn’t be here, like some force is telling him to get out as quickly as he can, unseen eyes watching his every movement as he cautiously ventures further into the dark forest. But the fog grows denser by the second, and with that, Tseng becomes a bit disoriented, but not enough so that he doesn’t miss pulling out his flashlight, his other hand resting at his suit pocket where he conceals his gun.

It’s when he hears a noise behind him, the snap of a twig underneath a shoe, that he draws his gun and pivots to face whatever is upon him. ]

I’d think twice if I were you.

[ Tseng can’t recall the last time he had a full night’s sleep. With Avalanche making the nightly news and the collapse of the Sector 7 plate, both he and his Turks have been working nonstop. He eyes the cottage, drawn to the small one made of brick. It’s quaint, reminds him a bit of the houses in Banora, and it’s unoccupied. And, again, he feels drawn to it, the bed seemingly calling out to him, encouraging him to take a seat, rest his head if only for five minutes…

So, against his better judgment, Tseng does just that. Five minutes turns into five hours and there is little anybody can do to raise the Turk from his slumber. ]
