[The elf gives the hawk a mildly confused look as he tilts his head from one side to the other as he observes it in turn. The longer he observes it the more sure he get's that it is not an ordinary hawk, if it even is one at all.
If asked he wouldn't be able to tell why he does what he does next. Just that it felt like the right thing to do åt the moment.
And so it is that he reaches out with his mind. Gently, with a feeling not unlike someone politely knocking at a door.]
