[The knight catches the princess' attention, and in so doing ends her song on a note that carries on into a hum before it, too, fades behind the crunching of the snow. There's no real familiarity in her eyes as she regards him, only a passing sense that this is how the world works, and so he has simply fallen into his proper place before her.

Even if something about it does seem a little strange. Like there's an obfuscating haze between them, little wisps of smoke and snow colliding in the very air.

She shakes the thought free of her mind and unclasps her hands where they lay in her lap so that she might greet him with a flourishing upwards gesture before shifting back into her original position, all propriety and grace.]


Rise, Sir Knight. What have you to report?

[Kindness warms her voice and an air of peacefulness keeps it soft, almost languid. Long gone are the days when fire clashed with ice and wars were waged on blackened lands; now, it feels like all she knows is this pretty little place tucked away from the rest of the world where the only people who can find her are the ones who belong here as well.]
