[Again, Joshua makes no effort to shy away or rebuff any of Clive's affection, closing his eyes and smiling at the pat.]

[However, carrying him is definitely where he would draw a line.]

A strange twist of fate, indeed.

[His smile turns wry at the thought as he does his best to juggle those braincells. All the better to allow Clive to work through his questions; it makes sense that there are so many. Even with the help he received upon his own arrival, Joshua felt lost. Sometimes, he still does, with the many mysteries he's slowly been peeling back.]

[His hand rises to his chest. He catches the motion and does his best to play it off as a thoughtful gesture, bringing his hand further up to his chin.]

[He'll have to tell Clive about his affliction. Eventually. There are other matters to address first.]

This world of dreams works separately from the waking world. As we exist here, as our dreamselves, our waking selves go about none the wiser.

The overall realm is called Songerein, but there are smaller parts of the whole. The primary city, the one I've been a resident of, is called Reverein. There is another city across the Wastelands named Orkili. If I had to make a guess, this forest was manifested outside of Reverein, but by whom, I do not know.

[He reaches into a pouch hanging from his belt--it takes him a moment, unfamiliar as he is with his current garb--and pulls out a piece of paper.]

I imagine any chance of finding out, and hopefully dispelling this magic, is hinted at with this poem.

[Joshua locks eyes with Clive, warm and, dare he venture close to the emotion, hopeful.]

Shall we go on an adventure, Brother?
