[It takes the Phoenix a bit of time to recount the story, but when it does, it’s with a familiarity that goes beyond simply knowing about the plot.]

Long ago, in a realm, far, far, away, The Four Winds stood as divine guardians, each brother holding dominion over a season. Their existence motivated the ebb and flow of nature, ensuring the cyclical balance of the world.

Boreas, the formidable North Wind, held the icy scepter of winter. His breath brought forth the frost that blanketed the land, turning it into a glistening blanket of white. The touch of Boreas brought about a season of introspection and hope for renewal.

Zephyros, the jovial West Wind, ushered in the season of rebirth and blossoming. With a gentle touch, he coaxed flowers from their slumber, orchestrating a vibrant medley of colors across the land.

Notos, the potent South Wind, commanded the torrents of summer rain. His arrival marked a time of vitality and growth, as fields and forests thrived under the nourishing downpour brought forth by storms as cacophonous as he.

Euros, the serene East Wind, presided over the season of harvest and reflection. His soft whispers carried the scent of falling leaves, painting the world in warm hues and inviting peaceful contemplation.

The brothers’ influence extended beyond their seasonal roles, shaping the world with their magicks. However, despite their initial consonance, conflicts soon arose. A rivalry festered between Boreas and Notos, their opposing natures leading to clashes that echoed throughout the distant realm. The mortals bore witness to disastrous rain, destructive storms, and flooded crops. They would not survive much more of the brothers’ squabble.

One day, a mortal poet, inspired by the chaos orchestrated by the Winds, composed a stirring ode that spoke of harmony born from the fraternity of the seasons. Impressed by the mortal's insight, Zephyros and Euros convened a gathering of the winds, urging them to find common ground and appreciate the interconnection of their duties.

Through dialogue and compromise, the brothers learned to work in tandem and appreciate one another, each contributing their unique strengths to enhance the beauty of the world.
