Her new but constant circling doubts about why he turned out the way he did and how would she have turned out if everyone just hared her on sight too? And feeling badly for him. And scared of him. But also grateful. Small bit of awe. Endless frustration... Simultaneously feeling like he needs a hug and like he needs a punch in the face. It was a weird tangle she was still trying to unknot for herself.
