He wouldn't have thought the kid had much wrong with him except for perhaps being a bit out of practice with swordplay. To know that he was pushing a sick young man harder than he probably should have... Guilt wells up and he bites his lip, thinking about whether or not to apologize. It couldn't hurt, but he also doesn't want to make things even more awkward.]

I see... For what it's worth, it doesn't show much. You're a damn strong guy, and resilient, too. I'm really impressed with how you don't let that get you down - not everybody could handle it with the same grace and fortitude.

[From now on, he's definitely going to make sure Joshua rests more often during training. Drinks more water. Eats more.
