[ Zelda stills when she feels Satan's hand on her shoulder. All at once, any resolve she had to lie to him about her fate simply drains right out of her. This isn't some silly little thing like her title; she can't hide the Light Dragon from him. He is her dearest friend, the one she has bound her very soul to.

(Will the draconification transformation unmake their soul pact? It will unmake everything else that is 'Zelda.') ]

Something terrible is happening in Hyrule again.

[ Zelda clutches the book tighter against her chest, letting the ambient warmth of its dreamotion ground her. ]

Below the ruins of Hyrule Castle, Link and I found a body... the shriveled remains of monster once known as the Demon King. He waged a terrible war against Hyrule during the era of her founding and it was only through the sacrifice of Hyrule's first king that he was stopped. The two of them were frozen in time for eons until Link and I found them, and it was our intrusion into that space that broke the king's seal. Link and I were separated, and I... I found myself sent back in time to that very era.

[ On the surface, it sounds like a ludicrous story. A vengeful mummy trapped in stasis underneath the castle for eons. A princess traveling back in time completely by accident. But Zelda is dead serious as she speaks and it's clear from her tone that she's having a hard time telling this story.

She hates this. She hates this so much. Satan has only just returned-- Zelda never thought she would see him again! She expected to go to her death with only her old memories of him. And yet somehow, somehow, through the fickleness that is this dream world, he is finally here again and she has to ruin their reunion by telling him how she is doomed when she wakes.

Every since Link left, everything has been starting to unravel. Zelda thought she was ready, that she could say goodbye to him when Songerein parted them, happy for the time they had together. But she couldn't and she isn't. It hurts, just as Somnus said it would hurt, and she hates that just as much as she hates losing Link-- and just as much as she hates that she has to tell Satan about the fate she thought she was prepared for.

Zelda shrugs off his hand, turning on the ball of her foot and rushing into him. Her forehead collides roughly against his chest and she just stands there, unwilling to look up or move away or anything. She doesn't want to tell him any of this. She doesn't want to hurt him. She doesn't want to hurt anyone anymore with the Light Dragon. ]

Satan, please... Don't be angry with me.

[ It's clear from her tone that she still has more to tell... ]
