Your hands protect the flames from the wild winds around you

Who: Everyone who’s signed up for the investigation portion of the Phenomenal Phoenix Phuck Up and anyone else who’d reasonably be around the café.
(As an aside, if you’d still like to sign up, please let me know and we’ll work something out!)
Which: Semi- (maybe more like three-quarters) Closed Log
Where: The Starflower Café
What: In the wake of Joshua’s disappearance, a slew of Dreamers has found themselves involved in figuring out exactly what happened—either out of concern or through external circumstances. Eustace has called everyone together at the Starflower to collaborate.
Warnings: Potential talk of heavy topics like terminal illness, death, kidnapping, and pseudo-mind/body control. I’ll update as necessary!

It’s been about a week since the resident Prince of Rosaria disappeared, seemingly lost in the backdrop of disorder caused by the waves of nostilium plaguing Reverein. No signs point to him returning home, but, as those who’ve managed to uncover some information may come to learn, a few certainly point towards foul play and dire circumstances.

During a lull in the chaos, Eustace managed to coordinate a meeting with those who are either directly looking into Joshua’s disappearance or who may be swept up in some shady situations that are tangentially (or so it seems) related to it. One way or another, he’s managed to find all the players involved and invite them to share what they know (on the basis that they do not disturb anything!).

Prompts

I. Think
A smattering of clues shared between a small, ragtag group. How are they presented? How could they be useful (if at all!)? What outside knowledge can possibly help make sense of this puzzle? Feel free to mix the provided prompts based on what clues your character uncovered—as well as what they may know off-hand through interactions with our dumbass bird.

A. Orkili: Power outages, an odd doc at the clinic, a secret room in a properly scary cave, and some troubling medical records.

B. Reverein: Disgruntled archivists, book/manuscript submissions with way too much flowery prose, and a letter addressed to someone named “Margrace”.

C. Battlefield: “Phoenix Crater”, fiery feathers, trails in ash, and multiple disappearing acts.

D. Writing: Twin journals chronicling a freefall into darkness, a gift from a friend reminiscent of happier days, the Akashic, and a Final Fantasy.

II. Breathe
Collaborating with others under a high stress situation (it’s still a mess outside, after all!) can make even the most patient folks lose their tempers. Take the time to chill, whether it be by talking to a friend, speaking with someone new, or keeping quiet for a bit (which makes anyone a prime target for some bothering).

III. Act
This prompt is a little bit different in that, while it can definitely act as a way to interact with each other, it's also meant to be a way to share what an individual character’s next steps are. Is it off to Orkili to investigate the clinic and/or caves? Time to share what’s been revealed in case someone comes across Joshua (who, based on the provided clues, may be a little grumpy)? Trying to find Joshua before something terrible happens? Another plan entirely?
