[Hilda's bones somehow don't all disintegrate to dust when they finally hit the ground, her fall cushioned by dream logic or something along those lines. Unfortunately, Tifa isn't so lucky. While her body is just as intact as Hildas, she's still and feverish and clearly unwell.
This small town that they're in reminds her of villages she's visited as part of her training in Garreg Mach, except for the lack of foliage and people. That last bit is by far the greater concern.]
Hello? A little help here?!
[There's no response. If this is dream is based on a memory like Hilda has more or less figured out, the silence must be because Tifa has no memory of what happens after the fall. Great. Just great.
To make matters worse, the demonic beast continues to approach. With a heavy sigh, Hilda gently sets Tifa down on the ground and gets to her feet. No one else is around to fight the creature back. It has to be her.
The beast reaches the bottom of the canyon and faces Hilda down, as if daring her to make the first move. Hilda takes a deep breath to steady herself, plants her feet firmly in the dirt, and draws an axe that up until now didn't even exist.]
It's just you and me now. And you're going down.
[She charges and swings her axe wide--
--and in doing so, knocks herself out of her bed and onto the floor, where she finds herself suddenly awake and very, very confused at what's just happened.]
