[02] can you teach me the language of flowers? [closed]

Who: Susato & Zelda
Which: Closed log
Where: Near the lake just within the southern forests of the Wildlands.
What: 76 has been severely hurt, and Susato must slowly figure out ways to cope. After work one day, she takes a detour to the southern forests to clear her mind, and decides she can't go back empty-handed.
Warnings: None

[ In the days following the aftermath of that night, Susato had done her best to tend to the soldier's needs as he lay in recovery. Perhaps out of necessity--though she wasn't sure how healthy it was--she had also thrown herself into her work, covering for him at the Wild Harvest, now as the only cook (at least temporarily).

This day has been particularly hard. She can feel her legs and feet protesting, as she has been on them all day. Her hands did not fare much better either, yet when she leaves work for the night, the thought of going home made her feel uneasy.

She should go home. It is cold. Her body begged her to, but a voice echoed in her heart, as if she was forgetting something. She certainly has no business visiting the lake in the southern forests, partially frozen as it is, but she has come here before to clear her mind, and so is able to navigate through the trees with relative ease--at least with the help of her lantern, which she's made it a habit to carry at nights since their moon all but vanished. Spots of color lined the forest path, flowers thriving, even in snow, that she's never noticed before.

The path opens into a clearing, and with that, the flowers continue into the lakefront.

Maybe this was it? The reason she was here. Even in the cold snow, these flowers are in bloom. Maybe a soldier could appreciate that.

So she hopes--but she still looks doubtful as she tugs at the white flower she nearly didn't notice, taking a quiet whiff. ]
