[It didn't work? The last time, it had. The last time, her voice reached him, and he'd listened... Knew that it was her, but this... The anger behind those red eyes she knows is just the nightmare twisting all of his own fears and turning them against him, and that beneath it all is just a man who is afraid. Who's lost himself once more amidst all the pain this place has caused him...
It's just a matter of helping him find himself again...
Except this time, it's just a dream. Nothing more.
The ice moves too fast for her to dive out of its way, so all she can do is lift her arms, using the fires and the armour of her gloves to shield herself from the impact. It hurts, and it beats her back as her boots dig into the scorched dirt to hold her ground. She groans under the pressure, feels it biting at the bare skin on her arms, but when she lowers her arms, it's with flames lapping at her gloves to try and fight back against the ice.
Except even as he comes at her with the intent to kill burning in those slitted eyes, she can't quite bring her fists up to meet him.]
Please...! I don't want to—
[She ducks this time as he comes near, and rather than diving aside into the fire, she lets his body slip over her so that she can kick his tail instead, trapping the very end of it against the floor to get his attention with a thunderous BOOM before she frees him.]
