The girl who was apparently Loona didn't even look up from the phone. Nothing unusual about that reaction at least from anything Millie would have ever noticed around the office.
"Oh," she spoke and the words were hollow, some empty echo that travelled around the chamber they were in, "So you do know my name after all."
There was a cracking noise like grinding stone, yet none of the statues displayed any sudden new vandalism. Instead, the human girl blinked in a manner that looked far too slow and too strained, and as she opened her eye, a line of black bled down from her makeup, down her cheek in a jagged pattern that began to splinter and spread. With a single tink noise, a piece of the girls face fell off like the shard of a porcelain doll's face and cracked upon the ground.
The girl still hadn't looked up, her fingers continuing to move over the phone.
"...maybe I'm just ahead of the curve..." she spoke with some edge making its way into her voice, "...maybe you should be getting ready for what's coming too..."
