[He made a soft snorting sound at Jack's reply, but he was far more amused by Susato clapping. She enjoyed all these celebrations as much as Ziegler or Reinhardt, which was good to off-set his far more gloomy presence in the room. She was wholesome.]

You've proven on more than one occasion your lung capacity.

[He folded his arms over his chest, letting them get on with the cake slicing. He wasn't to eager to ruin Susato's work by shoving Jack's face into the cake at least.]

Does anyone want something to drink with their cake?

[ It's too bad Susato is too innocent to appreciate all this innuendo!! She perks up when Jack expresses interest in enjoying the cake, which is the next natural step. She hurriedly reaches into a drawer that's not far from the cake, pulling out the exact knife she'll need, ever prepared.

It is kind of a shame to ruin her work, but at least by sparing Jack's face, they'll actually be able to eat it. ]

Just some water for me, perhaps.

[ She's just about to make the first cut, but then she stops and then glances over to Jack. She kind of holds out the knife in offering--maybe he'd prefer to do the honors? ]

[The less freezy ice-box that was more to keep things cool. That ice box. Maybe one day it would be a proper fridge.

He did pause briefly, holding up a hand as the other pulled out his journal from a strip of shadow. Gave Susato a little wink before he did a trick he'd done once before. Imprinting a mental image of both the cake -the hard work that went in to those details there to see- and Susato. Turned it, all the better in letting her see as there was that half smile in place.]

Best to capture it before cutting in, right?

[Only then he would accept the knife with a nod, and there would be a careful slice made; cut in a place that would help let the full experience of the decorating linger a bit.]
