Satan's assumption was right, Stolas hadn't realized that great of a shift in his arcane talents. They did feel a bit... off. There were things he could no longer do that he could back home. But for the most part... he could still feel his magic coiling beneath the surface. Perhaps it was the fact how dreamotion and his own natural skill shared a lot of parallels that he was able to 'pick it up' so quick, as others had pointed out.
