For him, he sees the ghosts of his family, old friends, and villagers flickering over the busts and mirrors. He's able to be more resilient, having had had to experience similar a few times, including his own dreams. He can only be grateful that one certain voice hasn't appeared, since she's at least still alive and not "lost."
