What: Genshin cast meets up for dinner and a small party, chaos ensues

[The temperature dropped, snow started to fall and it seems like Reverein is preparing for some kind of holiday. Aether observes all of that with fascination and decides that this is a perfect moment to gather everyone for a dinner together. Surely, a meeting at such a time will help them all get along!

...Hopefully.

Every person from Teyvat will get an invitation as Aether gets to work, and when the day comes around, all invited will be welcomed by the traveler and lead inside to the living room.

All kinds of dishes can be found on the table and everyone should be able to find something they like. Apart from various specialities from Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma, there are also Snezhnayan dishes, all thanks to a certain Harbinger who helped Aether prepare this feast. You can also find various drinks and teas to warm you up (likely a contribution from Diluc and Zhongli), though Aether did not foresee that a certain bard may be trying to add something to those drinks. Be careful not to get drunk!

Apart from food, you can warm up by the fireplace and there are also blankets stacked on the couch in case someone felt particularly cold today.

In the corner of the room there are many small boxes with bows, each one having a name tag. Apparently, this is a gift-giving season so the traveler felt the need to include that in his plans. The gifts are really not too much, many will find cookies and a colourful holiday card inside, but it's the thought that counts!

Sadly, not everything is planned. Aether could not expect that his house will be so inviting for Gumdrops. The small creature will float around, urging you to hug or kiss... or fight! Aether definitely does not like that last kind.]

[ His own eyes trail towards Venti the moment that the vial is presented to Xiao. The bard is already having quite the bit of fun. It makes the Yaksha wonder just how many bottles of cider Venti has actually been through. ]

It is my belief that is inevitable.

[ ...Do they even want to know the answer that question? Really, Albedo should have prepared even more than he already did. ]

I'm inclined to agree. In that case, I believe we should make the most of it.

[ Even someone as antisocial as Albedo can appreciate the camaraderie here. It's nice that even in a world like this, they can still enjoy the company of others from Teyvat. ]

I don't believe we have met before.

[ Given that Venti isn't the only person that seems to be engaging in that particular pastime? Of course there is probably going to be a need for more of it. ]

I doubt the bard will feel the effects tomorrow, given his tolerance. His resilience.

[ So perhaps it should be spared for those that don't often drink or have done so excessively this time around.

His eyes drift back to Albedo, taking him in for a moment. ]

We wouldn't have, no. Beyond this place, I do not leave Liyue.

[ Venti does truly have an impressive tolerance for alcohol...his reputation at the Angel's Share is known even to Albedo, who is an infrequent patron there. At least he can help those that aren't as used to it as him take it easy...

Though probably still better if they didn't get into this situation at all in the first place. ]

Liyue is somewhere I don't often have cause to travel to, unfortunately, but I'm glad to have met you here, regardless. My name is Albedo, Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius.

[ One of the individuals that might need it may very well be the owner of said establishment before long.

Now Xiao isn't... he doesn't really thrive in crowds. Doesn't really like to speak, not because he dislikes conversation. Mostly because he just feels awkward. Doesn't know what to say or how to interact. ]

[ Yeah. Sorry about that, Albedo. He still doesn't quite know how to converse. ]

[ That's okay, Albedo doesn't either, often going off on tangents his captive audience may not even care about, but that's just his way. He can make up for Xiao's few words with too many of his own. ]

A pleasure to meet you, Xiao. No doubt you are another friend of Aether's. His influence seems to have spread far and wide across Teyvat.

[ Unsurprisingly. He is the Traveler, after all. The fact that all these people here from Teyvat know him is a testament to the truth of his title. ]

[ Which... Doesn't truly annoy him as much as some people might think. Xiao can be fine with people filling the silence for him. As long as they don't always expect him to answer back, there's hardly a reason to grow aggravated. ]

[ Now he seems to mull this over quite a bit. It's been a very long time since he - ]

I suppose that I am.

[ From Xiao's understanding of the word and what this Traveler means to him, personally. Someone he can trust. Count and rely upon. ]

Though I thought that it was more that Aether attracts the attention.

[ Well, that's certainly true. No matter in the world where he seems to go, Aether stirs things up. Albedo has had enough to drink by now that his chuckle comes much easier than it ordinarily does. ]

Oh? You almost sound as though he got into some sort of trouble that drew your attention.

[ And perhaps it was. Aether does tend to get tangled up in danger, after all, though perhaps this will tell him a bit more about the kind of life that Xiao leads. ]

No, not quite like that.

[ Though he had been watching the Traveler and Paimon as they loitered around the Inn until they met. But it wasn't trouble that initially drew Xiao to Aether. ]

Though it is the reason I linger.

[ Oh? That's an unexpected response, though not exactly a surprising one, given the amount of danger that Aether attracts. ]

You try to protect him?

[ Albedo's tone is inquisitive and thoughtful. ]

[ Now there's an interesting question. ]

He isn't in need of protection. [ True enough. Aether is talented in the art of combat. ] Though perhaps someone to share the burden.

[ That's true enough. Someone to share the burden, though...Albedo likes the sound of that. It's a lesson he has to learn himself, over many years. There are things he simply can't accomplish on his own, research that he needs an assistant for. For all he struggles to make and maintain bonds, the ones he has are invaluable.

A thoughtful hum. ]

There are few things which individuals are able to do as well as a pair or group of likeminded people, to say nothing of the benefits of a supporting relationship itself.

[ But after a moment, he adds: ]

Ah, I apologize. I didn't mean to overly scrutinize your connection with him. My curiosity simply gets the better of me at times.

[ It's also a lesson that Xiao has been needing to learn. Slowly, it is starting to sink in that he can rely upon others. There are people out there that can help make things better and will support him.

Xiao is similar to Albedo in that regard and ever since meeting Aether, he's had to re-evaluate his stances on things. ]

No apologies are needed. Given that all kinds are attracted to the Traveler, it only seems reasonable to ask questions.

[ After all... Aether does think to reside with one of the Fatui. ]
