[ Marui looks at her in slight surprise hearing the energy (and volume) that goes into her assertion. Well, that's definitely made the fish jumpier, but it's nice to see her so into the task! He grins back at her and nods once as confirmation he's going to move.

Part of playing tennis, especially doubles, was developing this ability to visualize who was going to go where in response to what. That was how you found an opening to exploit. As the fish make to break out between them, Marui lunges to the left, disrupting the water in a deliberate scare to scatter them back towards the edge of the pond. From there he has to be quick-- and it's no easy task when your legs are underwater! It's almost enough to trip him up, his upper body moving faster than his lower can keep up.

Almost, but he's more coordinated than that, and pulls back enough to stay upright, opting for a kick of his front leg instead of a block with his hand to drive the big fish back in, though some of the smaller ones escape around it. ]


It's coming! [ He calls in warning. ]
