[Fortunately she didn't take offense. She's used to the teasing, enduring it most of her life from Jude, and then Alvin. The latter of which does it to get a rise out of her sometimes. She can roll with punches and dish out some of her own.
Mostly she's embarrassed because she knows she can do better.
Not that she has a reason to prove herself. She just likes accomplishing things. Winning. And, sure, winning isn't everything, but it's a nice adrenaline rush. Regardless, she's having fun anyway, and this guy seems like a good sport because he laughed it off.
However, had she known she'd get this wet, she'd have worn lighter clothing, or at least looked for a bathing suit. Wet, heavy clothes are seriously uncomfortable. And the vest she's wearing doesn't make it any better. She's kind of jealous that he can just shrug off part of his clothing.
Oh well.
Once she's wrung out her hair and part of her clothing, she places the mittens back on, glancing at the cute little tiger that's still keeping an eye on them.

You know, I think we had the right idea trying to herd them into a smaller space. But maybe instead of forcing them too far into shallow water, and causing them to panic, we try to catch them before they get too close to shore.
