In that desk he knows its contents and he knows the layout of this tree. Where to get food, how to take care of the dogs, their names.
And yet when he looks at the room that's supposed to be his, it doesn't feel...right. Like everything else, it's familiar yet it feels as if something is missing. That it's not really "his."
So after several more beats of silence he finally answers slowly.]

[And now that he's voice it he feels another throbbing headache, one that forces him to press his fingertips against his temple before it fades.
