Attention everyone. A family of stray...fairy flower dogs were found by the Riverbank and have been brought back to the Residential area to be taken care of. A mother and four pups.
[There is a small image imprinted of how the dogs look like.]
This is not a message seeking for adoption—we do not know as of yet if we are permanent "residents" of this world or if we'll "wake up" and leave it one day without warning. Knowing that, it would be irresponsible to take in a pet without any plans as to what will happen should it find itself ownerless. It's also unknown if these are truly domesticated or if they will return to the forests once they are older. They are docile, but for all intents and purposes they are wild, independent creatures.
That said it would be in their best interest if anyone with any knowledge in animals to take a look into their health as they are currently malnourished. I plan on sharing responsibility in caring for them, but if anyone else wishes to do so and can be responsible for them, then they can be taken in. Ultimately it will be up to the dogs, however it may be better to consider them as "communal" dogs rather than anyone's specifically. Those who are interested in helping may do so and sign a notebook to help keep a log. Those who don't can just ignore them.
I have set up a temporary place of living for them near one of the unclaimed treehouses in an unoccupied area and will be tending to them with Nanako Dojima. If you are interested in seeing them or have any questions, either meet me there or send a message here.
Should any harm come to the dogs, be prepared to face repercussions tenfold.
-- Eustace
[Insert a rather straightforward drawing of a map indicating the dogs' location.]
[This is an open log that anyone can start their own threads and mingle around with the pups! No real official prompts, but here are a few things that can be done:]
1. Personalities. The mother is very docile, sweet, and will gladly let anyone take care of her pups because momma needs a break. However, she will go savage on anyone who harms them so. Don't make her appear more like a demon dog with rose thorn whips or something. As for the pups, there are two females and two males. One female is the "alpha" of the group, taking names and taking charge as she just gets into everything. She fears nothing. The next oldest is a male and while a bit more mild mannered, he is very protective and will nip anyone who hurts those they like. Kind of has a hero complex and for some reason favors females. The third is a male who is very, very timid and scared of everything. Music and anyone with calm dispositions will help calm and soothe him. The fourth is a female who is the sweetest, most adorable little girl who just likes to have attention and will respond to commands and wishes very well. Loves to give kisses and will happily play with anyone.
2. Flowers. The flowers on the dogs are a bit random and seem to change by the day, so players are free to have them be whatever they want for their threads. The flowers can also be safely removed, but don't tug too hard as it is part of their coat. But if they are ever threatened or in danger, sharp thorns will start to appear, and the flowers may become more like snapping fly traps that will hurt. Only the mother is capable of creating vine whips.
3. Bathing. Those pups need a bath. Lots of baths. They may have been washed off once, but then their off romping around mud, dirt, glitter—who put the glitter there!? Not to mention only one of the pups is nice enough to be cleaned without fuss, the others just want to play around or try to escape. Good luck.
4. Feeding. It's currently unknown what exactly the dogs like to eat, but so far they seem to favor fruits, flowers, and honey. Candies and anything sweet are their favorite treats, though is it really healthy for them?? As the puppies will tend to explore outside of their "zone," don't be surprised if they appear near other houses or even right in front of someone's face if they're eating something outside.
5. Playtime. Of course these pups will want to play! And after a few days of getting used to the newcomers, they will bond over and try to get anyone to join them to play. They also have toys in their little home for those who choose to visit instead. Maybe there are other ways they can be entertained, like playing with the new bug friends. Just watch out that they don't stray too far or get into trouble!
[That should cover the basics, the rest can be left up to the players, so have fun with it! Technically someone could adopt the dogs, but it would be preferred if they're just able to roam around and stay wherever to allow everyone an opportunity to "keep" or "foster" the dogs if they want. There will be plenty of chances for more doggos. And let's not hurt them, but should anyone try—Eustace will make good on his threat and unleash lightning on their ass. Questions can be asked here.]

QUESTIONS
Eustace | Open
So Eustace has found a large wooden tub and has filled it up with well water. Buckets, towels, and treats have also been set aside. But, well. It goes as expected.]
—Hey!
[Picking up the pup is easy, keeping it in the tub is another. At least one is enjoying splashing around, but the one Eustace is trying to bathe did a bait and switch—acting docile before it decides to pounce him, making him fall back before running off.]
....Little brat...
[He says, but there's a small smile as he watches. How can he be annoyed at seeing such lively pups? But really, with all the water splashed on him, it looks like he had a bath... And it doesn't help that he has the ears to fit in with the group.]
⊗ b: basic training
Now, let's do it like I showed you... Sit.
[Immediately two sit, their little blossom tails wagging furiously at the sight of the treats. The other two... One just yawns while the other lies down.]
...That's half...well, more than I expected. [Is this how Ilsa feels when training cadets... Anyway, he tosses the candies at the two who succeeded, but before one of them could catch it, another pup jumps up and steals it. Cue heartrending sobs of the pup who didn't get its treat!!!]
Hey, don't steal from your brother. [Eustace immediately picks up the one who stole the treat and gives her a stern look. But the pup just sticks out her tongue and wriggles free before running away.
....Sigh. This is gonna take a while. Let's just soothe and cuddle with the upset pup...]

And yes, because of his dog-like ears, anyone is free to mistaken him as part of the dog's family or something lmao.]

The runaway dog seems to run from the tub to Frisk, jumping up and knocking them over. Frisk yells out in surprise before hitting the floor with a thud. They wince, but quickly start to giggle when the puppy begins to lick them.
They lift a hand them, gently petting the top of their head. )
Heehee. Hi, there.

Said "serious other guy" has taken one of the towels to at least wipe off his face and arms a bit before he approaches them.]
Looks like it found a new playmate.
[Look, he can't be too hard on it, it's just a puppy. And the kid doesn't seem bothered by it, either.]
no subject
Maybe I could help give them a bath if it'll listen.

She tries to wriggle free, but Kazuma proves to have a firm grip on her as he walks over to where Eustace was with the other pups to set her back down. She starts barking up at him. How dare you hold me???] You'll get no more treats acting like that. [Grrr she says, grr!]
no subject
Thanks. [A small nod as he just rubs the heads of the more obedient pups.] She's one of the more spirited ones...
[BARK BARK BARK. As if trying to prove his point, the pup stomps her paws and barks at him as if she had suffered the greatest offense in the world.]

He happens to be in the path of the more mischievous puppy when it darts off after the reprimand, and he has to wonder what the effects of his "persuasive aura," as Rion put it, might have an effect on these creatures... or if it's offset by the fact that he's magically falling apart on the inside or whatever.
He puts his hands on his hips for a moment before kneeling closer to the dog's level, holding out a hand to test how friendly it might be.]
... you look domesticated.
[Not that he's seen a wild dog in person before...]

Before deciding to just POUNCE on him. Whatever she senses, she seems to have little fear or regard—or perhaps just wants rebel even more.]

A lot of energy, I see.
[Ferran is familiar enough with how much goes into training dogs, having helped to train his own at a young age, and in this case it seems food might not be the most enticing reward. Well, it's easy enough to find a stick on the ground nearby, with how messy the area still is.]
You want to play, don't you.
[He waggles the stick in front of her, waiting to see if it interests the creature at all.
... he wasn't going to help Eustace with his apparent dog training immediately, but he might start without thinking.]

Stubborn little fellows, aren't they? [* They kneel down and softly scratch the ears of the puppy not cooperating.] Did someone deprive you of your basic good boy rights to treats? [* Their voice is still as dignified and fancy as it usually is but based on their playful tone, they do seem to be baby talking.]

[A small sigh as he continues to pet the one that's upset of losing their treat. But hush hush little one, Eustace has another one for you it's fiiine.]

Guess his clothes will get a bit wet too. Oh well.
He makes his way over to Eustace, unable to hide his amused grin as he looks at the sodden man.]
Leading by example?
no subject
If only it were that easy. Though if you're not careful, you might become an example yourself.
[The pup in Steve's arms starts to wriggle wriggle wriggle!! And since it is a wet one, it'll be quite slippery.]
no subject
[Steve doesn't have the greatest grip on him, so the puppy manages to wriggle out of his arms and plop down on the mud... before shaking its fur and getting the young soldier wet and muddy. Well, at least his pants. Oh, and Eustace too, sorry about that.
He sheepishly runs the back of his head, truly not intending for him to get even more muddy from all this. These things just happen, one moment you're holding a flower dog, the next moment, it escapes your grasp and gets everyone dirty. Just an every day occurrence.]
Sorry about that, but he's here now? [Puppy is definitely barking happily, maybe because it caused a little chaos.] Little fella seems happy too.

[Azmuth isn't interested in a pet, but he is interested in a potential means of getting around. Plus one of the dogs would make a good protector in case of trouble. Being so small in such a big world without the aid of technology is difficult. True, the dogs aren't up for adoption, but there's nothing wrong with getting friendly with them in hopes of occasionally being able to hitch a ride.]
[He approaches slowly, cautiously. He doesn't want to be the dogs' next toy after all.]
Feeding
[Azmuth is walking along the branch of a tree, the pups looking up at him with wagging tails.]
If you all don't back up, you're going to get hit.
[The pups keep wagging their tails, excited. Fortunately, Mama seems to get the message and starts nudging them back.]
[Azmuth reaches one of the fruits and begins using a little knife he'd fashioned to cut the step. The fruit falls to the ground, bursting open on impact. Immediately the pups swarm over the remains to begin munching.]
Playtime
No!
[The "alpha" pup is in a play bow, tail wagging excitedly as she looks at Azmuth. She either doesn't understand the command "no" or doesn't care.]
I said, "no"!
[Nope. The pup is going to pounce, forcing Azmuth to break into a run. The puppy yips happily and starts chasing after him. Somebody, help!]
Wildcard
((OOC: Got another scenario you want to play out with a five inch tall spacefrog? Feel free to hit me up!))
T'Challa | Open
He had been intrigued by the mention of fairy dogs, and had mostly come to investigate and see what the dogs were like. The mother actually reminded him of the new companion he'd made back home before arriving here, and three of the puppies were energetic and playful.
But he noticed that one of the puppies didn't seem as eager to meet new people as its siblings. The poor thing just seemed mostly nervous and stuck close to the mother. So while the other puppies were off playing with other people, he sat near the mother and the timid pup, letting them get used to his presence but not entirely engaging with them just yet.
And, eventually, when the pup became less fearful and curious enough to move closer, T'Challa was able to pet the pup as it settled down in his lap.
Wildcard
((He'll definitely be around feeding or playing with all the puppies, so feel free to hit up a different scenario with him))
