[ Vanitas doesn't wait at this point... He already knows that if he does, Sora will stress out. He will worry and fuss instead of focus on the enemy before them.

That's why he rushes forward, using his nature and the atmosphere to his advantage. Attacking with both magic and enhanced physical strength. ]

[At the moment Sora is too weak to follow Vanitas' attack up with some support. But it's the swelling of strange dark nightmare energy that has Sora inhaling sharply. That's not darkness. That's something else.]

Vanitas?!

[Meanwhile, the shadow of Ansem is going to start maniacally laughing. Raising his hand to summon a powerful thunderbolt down on Vanitas.]

[ Oh he's not paying attention... Because he knows already that Sora's having a bit of emotion with that. Not the greatest of emotions, but not the darkest of ones either. Not yet.

But Vanitas can't wait around either. Ansem can laugh. He can cast his spells.... Because Vanitas uses that teleportation technique. Attempts to blast the man point blank with a Firaga spell. ]

[One would hope that the bait and switch would work... But as Vanitas shoots his firaga spell it only goes through Ansem like he's ... a false image. He turns to Vanitas and glowers.]

"Weak."

[Another thunder spell will crack down at Vanitas. But at the same time, darkness is starting to swirl around all of them. It makes Sora start to cough again. He collapses.]

[ Oh he doesn't like that at all. Vanitas seethes, struck by the lightning and sinking to a knee. His gaze shifts towards Sora, noting the other's condition.

He has to get the Darkness away from him. That's the only way to make sure that Sora gets out of this one.

Vanitas huffs. He summons several Chilis that also spit fireballs at the illusion, the shadow. And then he takes off. He plans on drawing this thing's attention and to get him far away from Sora. ]
