[CLOSED] Happy Anniversary
Who: Alastor and Angel Dust
Which: Log
Where: The beach
What: Alastor decides to treat Angel to a little surprise on the beach in honor of Angel's first year in Reverein or The Second Beach Episode
Warnings: It's Alastor and Angel Dust, two demons from literal Hell.
I'm heading to the beach for this afternoon and likely into this evening at the very least. I brought plenty of food and drinks if you and Fat Nuggets wish to join me.
The message in the journal was short and sweet. Alastor himself hummed as he set up the blanket, umbrella, and very, very large picnic basket. If Angel decided against the outing, well, it would be a bit of a disappointment, but no harm done. Alastor could always eat the food himself...though the alcohol might cause him to pass out on the beach if he drank it all himself.
He was still in his usual suit though his coat was neatly folded up behind him to act as a pillow if he did drink until he passed out. A bit more relaxed. Still not relaxed enough to go around nearly naked, of course, but removing his coat was definitely letting down some of his guard. It helped that he didn't know precisely how much Angel had seen of him in the hot spring those months ago.
Now all that was left to do was wait.

However, he turned his full focus to Angel as he kept the little troublemaker from rooting around in the basket.
"No need! The guest of honor isn't required to bring anything in particular, after all! Your presence is enough!" He still didn't get what Angel was implying, but he awkwardly cleared his throat all the same. "Besides, despite all of our ups and downs this past year, I've found you to be quite entertaining and excellent company. Perhaps the original invitation was made in a moment of inebriation, but I'm quite pleased that I offered you the extra room."

Being treated like a person was weird.A soft pink flush tinted his cheeks as h smiled genuinely back as he scooted close to place his head on Alastor's shoulder. "You ain't too bad yourself Al..."

His static buzzed in surprise at the gesture, but Alastor couldn't quite bring himself to shove Angel off. Instead, he gave an awkward "Ha! I should hope not!" He cleared his throat. "Now then, we should probably at least serve your porcine pal before he thinks to try and dive for the basket again the moment he's set down!"

"That's probably for da best. Nuggies will eat the whole thing if ya let him." There was a small pause as he reached up to wrap an arm around Al's. "What did ya bring anyways?"
no subject
"Well, I wasn't sure what to bring so I brought a variety of sandwiches, a salad, some crawdads I already boiled, cornbread, a batch of canolis, and some beignets. Also brought some water, lemonade, and a bottle of champagne given this was supposed to be a celebration. It seemed only fitting!"
You know. Just a light picnic.
