For everyone - The Open Prompt!

[ It doesn't really matter what brings you here, but something does, either way. Be it a trip between regions, the urge to explore, caught off guard by a wild spider monkey and chased down. Either way, along your travel you spot a peculiar sight. What appears to be... a tent? And several perfectly shaped circle slab seats around. Even more peculiar, there seems to be a young girl just... laying back against a stone arch like it's a hammock, sipping from a thin metal cup. Her eyes are closed, and her head doesn't turn as you approach. (Or perhaps you don't approach, either way, she calls out) ]

Hey! Are you lost?

[ So helpful. ]

For Najaran

[ Huh, another person way out here? It's not what she's expecting. A familiar figure is close by, and by the feel of it, not doing too hot. Toph's comfortable in her campsite, but she reaches out and slams an arm down, shooting small stone markers up to help guide Najaran towards her from a (surprising) distance. Slightly smug smile on her lips. ]

For Iroh

[ The noise comes expected, perhaps. There's a short shadow by the door and a quiet. Knock, knock, knock.]

Wildcard

[ You know the drill! Poke me on hantale or Hantale on discord, or DM here if you want to plan something. Otherwise, this is the catch-all for silly scenarios, memes, or whatever else you might want to throw at her.

For the sake of planning, assume she's travelling around a lot and sorting out her own food, often camping somewhere or relaxing in a calm area. Maybe helping locals repair structures. ]

"Same reason we call anything anything! It's just the word that we like, or something." Toph is not a linguist.

"Don't you call your things uh... casting?"

[najaran]

"Summoning," she said cheerfully. "Cepters summon their Creatures. And Items. And Spells."

[toph_luck]

Hmmm, she's slowly figuring it out. "Are there any like... limits? You can just summon whatever you want?"

[najaran]

"I have to have the Card. And enough mana, of course. And if it is a Creature and it is hurt or an Item that is broken, or a Spell that is exhausted I can't summon it again for a while. And in formal duels once you put something back into a Card, you can't summon it again."

[toph_luck]

"Huh... sounds like a lot of rules. What's Mana? Like money or something?" She doesn't really get it, most benders can just bend all day if they don't get tired out after all.

[najaran]

Only in the video games version

"No... it is like energy. How much you can do before you're exhausted and need to rest."

[toph_luck]

Huh...

"Right... Like, how many times could I lift a boulder?" The answer is a lot, but definitely finite.

[najaran]

"I.... guess....?"

[toph_luck]

"Then I get it. Seems odd to keep track of though. Do you count how many cards you can use each day or something?"

[najaran]

"No... I am supposed to track other people when I fight them... But I'm not so good at that. But for my own... I just... feel it."

[toph_luck]

"Sounds like a pain. For others at least." Her hand reaches out, a quiet offer for the creature closest to her to touch it, or maybe just sniff. Strangely animal-like aren't they?

[najaran]

Eidolon took her hand to sniff at happily.

"It is mostly just a pain when I lose."

[toph_luck]

Toph lets out a brief laugh, motioning to Najaran.

"I bet. But I've got a campsite set up just over there if you want somewhere to rest. I guess some company for a bit will be okay." Very casual, definitely only barely an invitation.

[najaran]

Najaran has taken people trying to kill her as an invitation to friendship. She heard it here for sure. "Sounds fun! Do you have food too?"

[toph_luck]

She pauses mid step.

"Oh... uhhhh. Not yet. I was going to go grab some later. Got any on you?"

[najaran]

"Nope! Maybe we should go hunting?"

[toph_luck]

"Yeah?... Maybe. You eat meat right?" She can totally help sort that out, at least. There's no shortage of wildlife, even if some is rather dangerous.

[najaran]

"I love meat!" she confirmed. "And I can make a great stew with some of the root vegetables I saw earlier!"

[toph_luck]

"Sounds like you're volunteering." She muses, letting out a small laugh. "I can go find something if you want to cook it.

She's not huge on hunting, but it can be done.

(( Happy to lean towards a wrap, unless you wanted to write out the gathering scenes... or timeskip to cooking!))

[najaran]

(I am fine with any, but time skip to cooking might be best?)

"Sure! And Eidolon and Gremlin can help with the gathering!"

[toph_luck]

With a nod, Toph's off into the forest with her friend. Gathering is, as it turns out, fairly easy. They don't even need to kill anything. Between her bending and the two helpers foraging, finding root vegetables, leaves, and nuts to sort out.

It's not long until they're back at the campsite, a few twists of her wrists and a push summons a stone bowl not far off a cauldron over a pit for them to use. "There, cooking pot and fire pit! Pretty handy, right?"

[najaran]

"You are amazing!" Najaran said, awed. "And now it is our turn!" She passed veg to Knight and Eidolon and Gremlin to work on peeling and cutting while she made a fire. She grabbed the stone bowl. "I'll go fill it with water!"

[toph_luck]

"Yeah. I know." Smug as always, her head just bobs in agreement. Taking a seat nearby, she kicks her feet up and rests back, waiting for her to get back before speaking up again.

"What have you been up to anyway? Over in the city. I haven't really been checking it out.

[najaran]

She hauled over the heavy stone kettle full of water. Her steps trembled with the exertion, though it didn't sound in her voice; which was cheerful and bright. "I haven't found my way back yet. You?"

[toph_luck]

Haven't found her way... hold on.

"Are you out here cause you're lost!?" She almost barked out a laugh, curious. There's a faintly amused grin on her face when the water slides back into place. Though she helped Najaran settle it over the cooking pit slightly with her bending.
