i. take 1! coastal forests
[ A few weeks have passed since he arrived, and in that time, his efforts have largely focused on keeping an eye on Ichiru and securing a supply ofdrugs potions for his little blood problem. Ichiru is a nuisance sometimes, so he cools off by taking errands from his supplier in exchange for a little vial of ruby-red liquid. The deal wouldn't be so bad if he didn't go through his vials so quickly! So, here he is, on the hunt for his next fix.
Today, he's looking for a particular fruit tree that's supposed to bind two people together or some other nonesense. It grows near the beach so that's where he's headed clad in a pair of sandals, long shorts, a shirt, and a thin summer hoodie with short sleeves to keep the sun away. Near the peak of summer, the beach is filled with way too many people. Zero heads straight for the forest right off the beach, away from the crowds and starts looking.
A few hours later...
He's tired, cranky, and a little dehydrated and no closer to finding that damn tree! He finally finished his water bottle an hour ago and decided to call it quits then and there. A little closer to the beach, he's still treking through foliage, pushing away the thin branches that keep nicking him which isn't as annoying as the bugs that don't leave him alone! Looking a little worse for wear, he steadily heads back to the beach. If you happen to run into him, please do not annoy. He's grouchy and a little irritable. -_- ]
ii. zero 0:1 beach umbrella
[ So... his first attempt at finding the destiny tree failed spectacurarly, and no one is more annoyed by this than Zero. You think that would be the low point of his day, but you'd be wrong. He can always go lower. His little four hour trek through the coastal forest did a number on him and now he's stuck under a beach umbrella recovering from heat exhaustion.
A little less cranky than before, he doesn't have the energy to bite off anyone's head right now, so feel free to poke the wild beast, he won't bite; much. ]
iii. take 2! night hikes
[ His beach adventure ends in failure, but the day isn't over yet, and the night is still young. Having recovered from heat exhaustion a litlte too quickly, must be those hunter genes, Zero is back that night better prepared for a night hike. This time, he brings a hiking backpack with him, and exchanges the sandals for something sturdier. Apparently, he's not the only one who thinks it's a great night to stay out because there's quite a number of fire pits scatterd across the beach with idiots dancing around the flames while drinking.
Zero ignores them and heads into the woods. If he runs into anyone, he'll ask them if they've seen a paopu tree that looks like a palm tree with star shaped fruit, and even hands them a drawing he got from the potion maker. Any information is appreciated. ]

[ A sentiment he wholeheartedly feels in this moment with people all around him, while the hot sun beats down on all of them, trapping him beneath the 4x4 shade. At least, the forest had shade. ]

Yes, the same one that he tried to shove Ichiru with. That makes it two times since they met up. that Zero's still trying to do this. Has his brother not learned it is impossible when Ichiru wants to be a menace? ]
Because it's shady?
[ Ichiru doesn't mind the warm weather. Maybe it's because he didn't go out so much when he was so sick that the weather and things around seem a bit more breathtaking. It's quite nice to see things in person rather than from a window inside a room. Any time he stepped outside, he got sick. It didn't matter what kind of weather there was. ]
That's why he's telling you to get better hobbies!!! He knows your hobbies already!!!!

[ He demands, yanking his hand away from him. Stop acting like a damn teddy bear! You are not cute, Ichiru!! ]
What's a better hobby than harassing his only twin brother? :P

[ Nice try, he's still attached Zero's arm. He only is moved over a bit while Zero's arm is flailing about. ]

[ He tugs on his hand a second time with less strength, failing to dislodge the stray he's somehow picked him up! ]

Though, with Zero, he's certainly a lot different, to say the least. No matter what Zero is doing, Ichiru's grip doesn't waver. He seems to have tightened it enough. Truth be told, he's quite comfortable here, and maybe because of all the thoughts he has lately, this is a sort of haven for his spiraling thoughts. ]
It's comfortable here.
[ He's not looking at Zero, but his gaze shifts to the crystal clear waters of the ocean, while comfortably resting his head on Zero's shoulder (despite the flailing). ]
I've never seen the ocean this closely before.
[ After all, what time did he have to see it back then when he was always fighting illness? Even when he had gotten better, there was no time or place to see things like this. And true to his words, he closes his eyes. No matter how much he hated to admit it, it's always been this way. He always somehow found comfort in just being next to his other half. Whether he will admit to Zero or not, that's a whole different conversation. ]

[ He immediately throws back, annoyed by the whole experience. A feeling that's quickly replaced by doubt the moment he utters that line - ... never. It's impossible to miss the implication of his words. What it says about his life with that woman.
He keeps his eyes steady on him. Refrains from asking further about that line. Observes him. Listens. And, finally, speaks. ]

There's almost a dry laugh in his mouth as he hears the response. It's not surprising. It's to be expected. He had stopped telling Zero how he felt a long time ago. The reasons-- well both for himself and for not burdening his brother who worked hard to make up for the both of them. ]
I suppose it makes sense that you think that way.
[ It's hot, but he's fine wit the heat. Perhaps, he's feeling quite childish right now as he's frolicking around, pushing Zero's button. ]
You wouldn't believe me if I said there isn't anything I want right now.
[ It's a dream world. What could he want from it? It's not real anyway. Once they wake up, the wheels will be set back in motion. What little of his life he had left to live, will cease to exist. There's nothing he can do about it. So, why think about it when he can simply just do the things he probably would never do here? He wasn't lying when he said it was comfortable. There's always a strange sense of comfort in being next to his twin. It was probably because they were born from the same egg. ]
