[OPEN] LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS!
Who: Anyone who is interested in practicing dreamotion abilities!
Which: Open Log!
Where: An open clearing on the edge of town
What: Dreamotion TrainingMontage Event!
Warnings: Probably not? Will update if things get weird.
I. JOURNAL NETWORK POST
Date: November 15th
Sender: Hilda
To: Everyone
Subject: Dreamotion Training! ♥
Hi everyone! It's Hilda again.
Just wanted to let you know that we have a TIME AND PLACE for everyone to gather and practice dreamotion stuff! We're meeting on November 20th. I'll be there at noon, but really you can come and go whenever you want.
Here's the location.
[A small map shows up that points to a field on the outskirts of Reverein. After a pause, circles around the location and little hearts appear.]
Hope to see eveyrone there!
II. WELCOME
[A little after noon on the 20th, Hilda gets up onto the small platform that she has set up in the center of the field to address anyone who has assembled. Looking into the crowd, she decides that this is every bit as intimidating as she figured it would be. One-on-one? Socially, she has no fear. In front of a group where everyone is looking at her and has expectations of her? No thanks.
But she feels obligated, so here she is. She opens with a too-bright smile and a nervous wave.]
Hi everyone! Thanks for coming.
I had no idea that I was the only one who was like 'I don't know what I'm doing with this dreamotion stuff.' I'm glad I reached out--it makes me feel less stupid about it and all that. And by working together, we can all practice and be the very best dream people we can be. So... good luck everyone!
[She starts to exit the stage, taking two steps before remembering that there are instructions to be given.]
Oh, right. I've set up some training stations based on what people seemed to be interested in. Just look at the signs. And if you come up with something else you'd like to do, feel free to take one of the blank ones next to the stage here and make your own station. It's really casual.
Now, for real: good luck! I'll be at the crafting station.
[Another wave, and off the stage she scrambles.]
III. DREAMOTION TRAINING STATIONS
[Each workstation has a sign attached to a wooden stake that's been driven into the ground. The handwriting on the signs is cute and in pink, at Hilda's insistence. There are also small doodles at each meant to help indicate what each station is for.
On one side of the stage is FLOWERS AND CRAFTING, with cute flowers decorating the borders.
On the other side of the stage is COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT, with small buildings similar to the central plaza of Reverein lining the bottom.
And on the far end of the field is FIGHTING AND COMBAT, with a sword and an axe and a written warning: NO HURTING ANYBODY!!!!!!!]
IV. OBLIGATORY WILDCARD OPTION
[Hilda wasn't kidding about the extra signs and the encouragement to offer more than she has--there is a stack of blank posters and stakes. Is your character awesome at dreamotion energy and/or interested in something not included in her three stations! Make your own!]

Kanji | Open
DogTraining Stations][Kanji arrived with a large basket lugged in his arms, and looked over the parts of the stage. He could do any one of those, but first he needed to set something up on his own.
He set the basket down and tipped it over. What spilled forth were stuffed dolls shaped like puppies of different breeds (there's a german shepherd there, a beagle here, a corgi there), but with an odd twist: They each got up and moved around on their own. Seems Kanji was successful with his dreamotion project. From his pocket he produced a slip of paper that he propped against the upended basket:
We're all looking for new homes if you're interested!
But it seems that one of them has made their own decision. Plodding along on their little paws, they each seemed to walk up to someone and sit at their feet, looking up and wagging their tails. One's chosen you, whether you were interested or not.]
[II. The Nitty-Gritty]
[Otherwise, Kanji can be spotted at any of the stations, either working away at a pair of knitting needles, helping to draw out some form of treehouse plan if you're looking to improve yours or another's, or getting ready for a scrap.
Specify which you'd like, and let's roll!]
i~!!
Satan crouches down in front of one of the cute little stuffed puppies, reaching out to gently tap its nose. ]
Hello, little one. It's all right if you're not a cat. You're still pretty cute.... I wonder if it would be frowned upon to take the whole lot?
[ Yes, yes it probably would be frowned upon. Technically, it might be frowned upon for him to take one at all. Ahem. Kanji please refrain from letting him have a pet, even if it's stuffed. If he ends up with one, he'll find a way to have an entire treehouse overflowing with pets.... ]
no subject
That'd help a lot, but I know I've had a couple people interested in a little buddy or two. I'll keep ya in mind once they come around?
[Kanji was currently busy rubbing the belly of a little long pup, a dachsund with long hair and kicky legs. He was certainly not helping to drive him away.]
I'm still practicing the dreamotion stuff, but maybe the next bunch'll be cats. Black cats, stripe cats, siamese cats, those little squish-faced guys...
no subject
You're -- you're thinking about making cats?
[ Here Satan is using his dreamotion to create holograms and this human boy is using his powers for the ultimate good. ]
Could you... perhaps make one for me? Don't get me wrong -- I love this pooch and I'll gladly take him home with me if he's willing -- but I'd like a cat, too. I'll let you design it however you want because I could never decide something like that, and I'll pay you however you see fit.
no subject
But he lit up with the interest. The puppy, in the meantime, is on cloud nine and wiggling this way and that.]
Sure, man. I've been workin' on some really minky fabric too, so like... hold up, hold up-
[He retrieved his notepad and took a minute to scratch up a rough sketch of what had to be a mountain of fluff with a face.]
I saw these kinds'a cats in pictures and I love 'em. Is somethin' like this shape up your alley? If there's a particular color ya want I can work from there. I mean, it could be purple or somethin', doesn't need to be a real cat color.
i
Where...
[But it's wagging its tail??? AND MOVING??? Frozen between wanting to pick it up and trying to have some self-restraint, he quickly looks around to see...a basket... Full... Of them...
...
This world really is made of dreams—
No no no that's not it—
Seeing Kanji nearby he calls out to him.]
...Is this yours?
[He may sound like his usual calm self, but on the inside he is trying very hard to not want to at least look at them all closer... They're just...so soft looking...and cute... But no he has to focus this is about dreamotion training—!!!
Yeah, no, it's clearly obvious he's very interested them despite his best efforts to not appear so.]
no subject
Yeah, I made 'em. They're free to good homes if you're lookin' for a clean pet. They don't need to eat, but they've tried to steal my freakin' lunch sometimes.
[He chuckled and went back to his knitting lines. But when he pinched his fingers closed and slowly drew along the air, he seemed to be conjuring further yarn to work with.]
They're like... Whadda they call 'em- emotional support dogs, too! I feel like they cheer me up a lot and dreamotion's been easier lately for it.
no subject
[Just. Going to look between Kanji and the plush dogs for a moment.]
With dreamotion?
[... .... .... This is brilliant. There are no other possible words for this. GENIUS ABSOLUTE GENIUS— Ahem, anyway he continues to remain appearing stoic as always even if on the inside he is feeling quite warm and blessed. In fact, the air around him seems to warm and turn a little pink, and in the end he can't help but crouch down to carefully pick up the one that had greeted him first.]
Will they always remain..."alive" or would I need to feed my own dreamotion energy into them? Do they have their own will?
[Eustace is now going to have to wonder how "alive" and "sentient" he should consider these adorable creations.]
no subject
Beats me. I'll leave to get lunch n' come back to 'em runnin' around like usual, but I pet 'em and love 'em a lot, so maybe I've been feeding 'em energy on the regular.
Free will's... a little above my brain's pay-grade. That sounds like college-level stuff. Maybe they do? But maybe they don't. Ain't figured that out yet. But somethin' about 'em stealin' my food feels weird to me... or maybe they just wanna get my attention.
no subject
I suppose the only way to know is to see how they adapt to other people.
[A STRETCH OF SILENCE.]
...Is it really all right to take one?
[The shiba inu looking one has been sticking around him more than most. And...it is...kind of cute... And reminds him a little of the corgis from the tree...
...
.................]
no subject
Maybe. I wouldn't mind some updates and stuff from everybody who takes one home.
[With an obliging sweep of a hand, he wordlessly gave the OK. If any caught Eustace's eye, then that was his dawg. They were all fun little boogers, and so far it'd been kinda cool to see the variety of people coming forward to express their interest. Man, dogs were just universal, weren't they?]

Satan leave some doggos for the rest of us
You lost little guy? Didn't know they had Shibas running around here.
[He hasn't seen the sign, or Kanji yet.]
no subject
But the dude didn't look like he wanted to fight. Hopefully that doesn't change.]
They don't. I just made 'em for fun, but if you like 'em you can have one.
[The corgi enters an INTENSE PLAY BOW with accompanied paw taps. It exuded an air of, 'We're friends now, dragon man, chase me!' Any movement from Ichiban sends the corgi into a zig-zag zoom before another play bow a little further away.]
no subject
Wait. You made them? Like out of thin air?
[Finding out others' powers is still pretty damn interesting and mesmerizing to him. Or maybe he will be forever star-struck by other's powers or the fact he's using magic.
Anyway. Corgi.]
What happened to your tail, buddy?
[Yes, he still does not realizing that the corgi is not a shiba. You'd think the smaller legs would give it away but he hasn't had many doggie friends. Regardless he is eager to give chase.]
Uh...so you you feed 'em or are they magic and just have endless energy?
no subject
Huh? ...Oh! That's a corgi. They've got little nubby tails... I think.
[Wait- Were they another dock-tail breed? He didn't ever look that up! But now that was something he could do a little later.]
I pet 'em and give 'em good vibes. At least, that's what I understand about this dreamotion stuff. If it ever slows down a little bit, I can check on 'em. I gotta keep practicing, y'know?
no subject
Oh. Didn't realize the fella was a corgi...
[He doesn't understand all of it, but to his credit, Ichiban is trying to.]
So you need to stay positive and give them pet? Sounds almost too good to be true.
no subject
He seems to like ya, though. He's yours if you want 'em, give it a name n' everything.
[The little black dog near him stretches and yawns, and is given a head ruffle for his efforts. The long blond dog runs to chase the corgi.]
Long guy there's mine. That's Bucky. Little soot ball here's Chaser. So sky's the limit with names if they like silly shit like the ones I gave 'em.

I!
Kanji! These are SO much cuter in person than they were in the journal image.
I see you got them moving and everything.
no subject
Heh, right? They're cute as hell! Just managed it last night.
[Little spotty dude is having himself a very excited wiggle, tail like a little helicopter rotor and plush tongue made of felt trying to kiss the air in Hilda's general direction. Her face was too far away, but it'll try its best!]
Couldn't help it- two of 'em stuck to me like shadows so I guess I've got dogs now. Never had pets before! They'd get hair on the fabric in the shop...
no subject
She loves this dog so much!!!]
It sounds like you have the perfect pets now! These little guys won't shed all over the place, and they're super loving and cute.
I'd say this one can keep my gummy fish company, but to be honest I don't think the gummy fish has much of anything going on in its head.
[Since it's, you know. Candy.]
no subject
I remember the gummy fish. I'm actually kinda glad nobody decided to eat 'em. The idea's kinda cute...
[But he gestured vaguely with a hand.]
That one seems to like ya, so it's yours if you want it, Hilda. I figure someday I'll do cats or birds or somethin', but I dunno much about birds other than 'they scream a lot'.
Got somebody who requested a cat, though, so I think I'm turnin' into a Dr. Doolittle.
no subject
[She imagines living candy wriggling its way down her throat and shudders. Gross.
In response, the dalmation doubles its efforts to lick her face. Don't be creeped out, new mom!]
It really does sound like you're becoming quite the expert! One question, though: who's Dr. Doolittle?
no subject
So I guess I'm doin' that here! You pet that guy and give 'em love, but if they slow down or anything, lemme know and I can fix 'em up. Hopefully I won't need to do a damn thing, but what the hell do we know about dreamotion, y'know?

I. dogpiles on the dog prompt
Hey there little guy! Aren’t you just a cutest thing?
[ Even after having gone through a haunted dollhouse, it hadn’t occurred to him to use dreamotion magic to make other toys come to life.
He casts around and soon enough spots the rest of the puppies and their apparent owner. ]
Ahoy there! Did you make all these little fellas? They’re so cute!!
[ He’s in heaven. ]
no subject
I made 'em, yeah. Finally worked up the dreamotion magic or whatever last night to get 'em to move like real ones.
They're good to find homes if you're lookin' for a little buddy.
