Second Spell [Open Log]
Who: Magilou and Magi-you?
Which: Open Log,one dream-related part
Where: Around town
What: A series of Dream Board shenanigans! Plummeting through portals, reasoning with owl-cats and dealing with a Baku!
Warnings: Include any content warnings
A. Flunking with Portals
[There's an unusual sight around town at the moment. It's hard not to notice a pair of black portals in the middle of town: one on the ground and one above it in the air.
Someone keeps on plummeting from the upper portal into the lower one, then coming right back through the upper portal again! All the while letting out a scream. Though the continuous scream starts to wind down as she gets used to the situation - and tries looking around for anyone who can help her out of this perpetual freefall.]
Little help?! [She shouts out at anyone nearby!]
B. Too Hoot To Handle
[Magilou's found herself stuck with an owl-cat. One that just won't let her sleep! She's tried giving it food, but it's just not satisfied. So she tries going out for a walk... only for the creature to keep on following her and making noise.
Someone else might be out at night, or stirred awake by the owl-cat's loud hooting. Or perhaps one will instead by awakened by Magilou knocking on their front door. It doesn't matter if she knows the person or not, she might just be knocking on random doors out of desperation. In any case, once she finds someone, the tired witch will gesture towards the hooting owl-cat with a fatigued groan.]
Make it stoooop....
C. Baku-Gone
[On other nights, when Magilou can sleep, she's been haunted by these strange dreams where the delightful parts fade away in favor of nightmares. After doing some research, she's learned that she might be haunted by a Baku. She'll have to dreamwalk into her own dreams in order to get rid of the monster before it consumes all of her positive and neutral dreams!
So here she is, stepping into her own dream, where she's putting on an elaborate magic show to an exuberant crowd of Normins! She's trying to keep her eyes peeled for any signs of the Baku, but it's hard not to just get caught up in the energy of the dream.]
We have a very special show for you all tonight! Now, let me call up my first volunteer~!
[She will gesture towards one person in the audience who is probably the only non-Normin creature around (unless they've transformed within the dream!). Now, Magilou hasn't told anyone else about this, not wanting to risk anyone seeing parts of her mind she wanted to keep private, but maybe someone else managed to stumble or dreamwalk into this dream anyway. After all, she'll need all the help she can get!]
D. Wildcard
[Feel free to come up with an alternate prompt or hit me up for plotting!]

Magilou's sure to clutch her hat with one hand, while securing her book-skirt with the other, and she feels herself finally being towed out of that accursed space! And now here she is, floating on some wind!]
Wow, so this is what not falling feels like! I sure missed that. It's almost like I'm back on solid ground already. I guess the winds are in my favor! [She says with a delirious smile.]
no subject
It's as easy as that!
[And he'll gently float her back down to the ground so she can land on her feet too. Then the wind dissipates.]
And still with your hat.
[Moreeeee rhymes!!]
no subject
And so she's gently sit on the ground. She raises her arms in a cheer!]
Woohoo! Solid ground! Boy, have I missed you!
[Then she pauses as Venti's rhymes click.]
Um, I mean... I sure am glad I'm no longer flying like a... bat! Now I can sit back and relax... like a cat!
[A pause. She shrugs. And looks towards the portals, which are still looking pretty active there!]
Anyway, thanks for the assist. That thing just keeps going and going!
no subject
You're very welcome! Perhaps next time I need a pull from falling portals, you'll do the same?
[Everything for a price... Or is he just joking!!]
no subject
[She says with a wink as she twirls around, relishing her time on the ground again. Magilou prefers to leave it a mystery whether or not she'll help!]
Someone should put a sign up there. Watch your step!
[Someone really has to try closing that pair of portals, but Magilou has categorized that as Someone Else's Problem.]
no subject
Someone should put a sign up to warn others! I hope the next person that comes along does something along those lines.
no subject
I'm sure a kind and benevolent soul will come along to do that! ...Of course I would, but setting up a whole sign is a lot more work than it looks like! And I'm freshly traumatized by what I just experienced...
[She shrugs her shoulders and shakes her head in resignation.]
...And I'm curious how funny it would look for someone else to stumble in!
no subject
Oh, of course. I would never dream of making you do that sort of work. You'll need some time to recover from the trauma of falling through those portals again and again and again.
[He giggles.]
It was quite the scene though. Shame if someone didn't put a sign up.
no subject
[Magilou gives a casual smile, while folding her arms behind her head.]
There must be some volunteer among this populace brave enough to make a sign. [And get work pawned off on them.] For the good of this city!
no subject
[... And if they don't find anyone? Oh. Well.]
There might be a generous soul somewhere. In the meantime, why don't you tell me more about these shows you mentioned?
[Venti motions for her to walk with him!]
no subject
[And off they go, with Magilou regaling him with tales of her magic and comedy shows, while searching for someone to bully into making a sign! And/or watching the pit's next hapless victim.]
