It’s entirely possible that Gen is busy and so Senku is the one behind the counter. He’s fussing with something and he glances up when someone comes in.

“Welcome to Creamistry.” He murmurs a little bit. He washes his hands and towels them off.

He’s in the middle of making little animals out of sugar.

Senku comes to the counter. “What can I get for you?”

Challenge

Perhaps instead they’re interested in answering the ad that Senku put up on the board.

He gets a devious grin. “You want to help me figure out my challenge? By all means.”

Senku has a knack for looking downright evil.

“You have a preference for flavour, or do you want me to decide?”

"I can do that. I've been cooking up something great for a challenge." Since, of course, someone had asked him to make one.

"Grab a seat and I'll serve it up for you. Won't take more than a couple of minutes."

“Oh yes. This is really good. I shall find the first empty seat I can find and wait for whatever ice cream is waiting to be tried out.”

Anya soon grabs a seat in the center and gets herself comfortable as she waits for Senku to bring out the ice cream so she can get into the challenge. She is pretty excited to see what he and Gen have come up with. Also she is quite relieved that she didn’t brought Pooka and Mashka today: she isn’t sure if dogs and rabbit can have ice cream.

The ice cream concoctions are served on a tray with comfortable handles. It looks like a basket, although in reality, it's double walled and there's dry ice in between so that they don't melt. No cheating, of course.

The first offering is a scoop of chocolate ice cream with a warm fudge sauce drizzled on top. The second is cut up brownies with two scoops of vanilla in the middle and drizzed with caramel. The third bowl has a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. The fourth cookie dough, topped with sprinkles. The fifth bowl has two scoops of strawberry, topped with strawberries and whipped cream.

This is, after all, a food challenge. There is a set of smaller cups, five of them that hold just sample sizes, and each one has one of this month's flavours. One chili pepper and cinnamon swirl. The second, cinnamon bun, the third sweet curry, the fourth sea salt and the fifth coffee caramel twist.

Finally when he brings out the tray, he sets it down and then brings her a cream soda in a glass and a cherry cola.

"What do you think? Insane enough to be a food challenge?"

“Wow! You really did outdone yourself in this one,” Anya is pretty amazed by the array of flavors before her, oh gee where to start first.

They sure look pretty delicious and remarkable. Shame that she is going to eat most of it by the end of this ice cream challenge, sorry ice cream: you’re just too good for this world.

“I got to say admit, it is insanely wonderful. I bet that not many people will be able to finish it almost immediately but I got this and can conquer it.”

"That is the idea." Senku chuckles a little bit. "It's supposed to be a challenge to eat. If it's too easy then we'll have to tweak it a little more. This was difficult for Gen to accomplish, which I figured was a good gauge."

Despite complaining endlessly about Gen's sugar consumption, that hasn't stopped Senku from feeding it to him.

“Sounds good to me. I’m going to see how far I can go and hope for the best,” she nods as she picks up one of the cups of ice cream, the one with chocolate ice cream, as the starting point.

She is so going to crush this: luckily she hasn’t eaten anything that much before coming here so her stomach is ready to face this big challenge head on. Wish her luck.

"Let me know if you need anything, or if you have any thoughts on the flavours. I'm open to tweaking my recipes."

After all, this was just a huge experiment to him, but he was a perfectionist.

“I sure will. I will let know you if there is anything I would need or give some feedback on the ice cream flavors,” Anya calmly nods in agreement before she digs into the chocolate ice cream.

My, my, my: this has to be the best chocolate ice cream she has ever had. Quite delicious and very chocolate flavored indeed.

"I appreciate it."

There's something to be said for homemade, small batch ice cream that can be tweaked to Gen and Senku's specifications, and it's very fresh. It hasn't been sitting around getting freezer burn or anything else like that.

She nods in sheer joy as she does her best to finish the chocolate ice cream. She hasn’t touched the drinks just yet but she is trying not to get too full so soon. Anya may not win in speed but she can push through with sheer determination and nerves of steel. Once she is done with her chocolate ice cream, it is time to dig into the vanilla ice cream with brownies.

The vanilla smells just as fragrant as it tastes delectable and the brownies have the right amount of chewiness to boot. Not to mention the caramel suave being silky smooth and so delicious. She is enjoying participating in this challenge already and she is just getting started.

He lets her take her time, it's not like Senku's in a rush to get her out of there or anything.

Senku moves around, tidying up and getting back to what he was doing. He's going to need some of these if she actually defeats the ice cream challenge.

Since of course, she'll be due for a prize.

Another ice cream has been cleared out and Anya is surprised that she is able to finish two flavors already. The mint chocolate chip ice cream comes next and she is able to finish it with very little problem. The mint is very refreshing and a good palate cleanser.

Her attention then focus onto the cookie dough ice cream, a flavor that won’t be a thing in her world until several decades later, and she proceeds to eat it and savoring every cookie dough chunk. This is very different from what she is used to in her world but it is quite a flavorful one. She does take a moment to drink cherry cola before continuing on with the cookie dough ice cream.

He's not the type to hover, so Senku would move onto the next little figure, molding the sugar into the shape of a bear. He could be quite artistic, when he set his mind to it, after all he had drawn many many designs over the years.

Senku just wouldn't call himself artistic. He kept an ear open in case Anya needed something.

It may have taken some time for her to finish it, but eventually Anya manages to finish the cookie dough and sprinkles ice cream. That might be the best ice cream creation she had eaten so far. Now onto the strawberry ice cream: the presentation alone reminds her a lot of a strawberry shortcake she had eaten in a different establishment some time ago.

This is quite flavorful and a delight to the mouth along with the sips of cherry cola. Soon enough she might be this close to getting to the monthly ice cream flavors much sooner than she is expecting in the rate she is in.
