Customer Service

It’s entirely possible that Gen is busy and so Senku is the one behind the counter. He’s fussing with something and he glances up when someone comes in.

“Welcome to Creamistry.” He murmurs a little bit. He washes his hands and towels them off.

He’s in the middle of making little animals out of sugar.

Senku comes to the counter. “What can I get for you?”

Challenge

Perhaps instead they’re interested in answering the ad that Senku put up on the board.

He gets a devious grin. “You want to help me figure out my challenge? By all means.”

Senku has a knack for looking downright evil.

“You have a preference for flavour, or do you want me to decide?”

Maedhros takes the bowl with a grateful nod, it truly did look very good.

"Thank you, my friend," he said before tasting the first spoonful of the treat. It was good, very good actually. Sweet and full of flavor. Apples and cinnamon, tastes that always brought to mind the golden years of his youth.

"It's no trouble. It was fun to sort out the precise formula for the best outcome."

He made Gen taste test it several times, but that was Gen's primary role around there. That and to smile charmingly at people where Senku could be a bit...gruff.

"There always is a very special kind of joy in working to perfect ones craft."

There is no Noldo he knows that would not understand taking pride and joy in your work. And Senku, he had to admit, was very good at what he did if his ice cream was anything to go by. It is not a perfect replica of what he had in his youth, but it is close enough that he does not mind the little differences. He simply eats it and let's the sweet memories of his childhood rise to the surface, it has been a very long time since he was able to truly enjoy something like this.

"Trial and error, there's little else you can do. I read a lot of books a long time ago, but they didn't really prepare me for what I had to do. I accomplished everything through a lot of trial and error. Learning from mistakes, pressing forward and being determined." Senku explained.

His attention to detail was no less just because it was ice cream. This was the kind of thing that was fun to him.

"It's how you learn. You can have teachers and books a plenty to steer you in the right direction but there is nothing quite like first-hand experience to impart a lesson." It could be a painful process, at times, but often an effective one.

"It could be painful, frustrating and a pain in the ass, but it was by far more rewarding that way." Senku admits. He's a sucker for working hard.

"The path towards knowledge is fraught with all manners of pains and tribulations, but it is one worth walking down." Working hard was half the fun in learning anything new, and let no one ever tell you differently.

"I'm a believer." Senku chuckles. "And I've converted my whole village. Even now they're all too happy to work on big projects."

"You'd have fit right in to any Noldorin settlement then," he say cheerfully. "We are craftsmen by heart and do not like to sit idle."
