Tea For Who? - OPEN

Iroh had found that he had been able to help people during the crisis in a number of ways. But one of them had been tea and talking. Just being there for people with a calming drink and an open ear. So he was trying that again now, once again by the base of the fountain.

Between conversations he was sipping his own tea and considering what it might take to open a tea shop here. For however long he was going to be here, that was...

For anyone who wanted to find him, he is near the fountain with a small comforting camp fire over which the tea pot is heating and a pair of large picnic style baskets, one of snacks and one of teas and tea fixings. So that he can have enough for every taste and stay a while for whoever showed up without over steeping the tea.

He poured Ralsei a mug of tea and passed it over. "I have been sharing tea with fascinating strangers," he said. "How have you been?"

"I've been well! The past few months have been busy, with the rebuilding, and the refugees, and the... well, there's been a lot!"

He accepts the tea gratefully and takes a sip, smiling at the taste. Iroh does make rather good tea. "Did you ever get the chance to talk to your nephew and -- niece, I think?"

A sort of a sigh at the question, and he sipped his tea to give himself a moment to gather his reply.

"I have spoken with both," she said, finally. "They have left me with much to consider. How about yourself and those you care about here?"

It seems clear enough to Ralsei that that line of conversation was unwelcome, and he was hardly inclined to press!

"Well, I've been making friends with a lot of folks from Hell, actually. It... doesn't seem like that nice of a place, though. I'm glad they're here now. They seem happier, at least!"

"I would be happier here too, I suspect. Perhaps they too could benefit from some tea and pleasant conversation?"

"Hahah, it wouldn't surprise me! They're all a little -- hyperactive, I'm not sure you could keep them pinned down long enough!" He pauses, head tilting for a moment. "Well, Dante you could maybe, and Moxxie possibly."

He chuckles softly, arms winding behind his head as he stretches, taking a morsel from his platter to snack on. "It's pretty nice here! Seems to be helping people, um, recover, from whatever trials they've faced in their worlds."

"Well, I am considering opening a tea shop here. If I do... perhaps they will benefit from that as well."

Ralsei brightens up at that a fair bit. "Oh, I'd love that! Might have to start closing up shop a little early myself just to get the chance to get a cuppa at your place, haha!"

[uncle_iroh]

"Or I could stay open later. I have not yet set my hours, after all."

[a_sweet_little_peach]

"True, true!" Ralsei says, "But I stay open late anyway most days, just because I get distracted sewing. You'd give me cause to keep reasonable hours!"

"Then I am happy to help! And maybe I can even trade tea and food for you and your employees for uniforms for me and mine?"

"Oh, I'm the only employee! But I would be happy to help regardless!" Truthfully, Ralsei would be very happy to help even if Iroh hadn't offered delicious tea in payment.

"What sort of designs were you thinking of for the uniforms?"

[uncle_iroh]

"I am uncertain, but perhaps if it is possible, a tea pot where the steam coming out looks like a dragon?" That could be lovely. "And a pair of tea cups, as tea always tastes best when shared."

"Oh, I could do that! Maybe for the front and back of the uniforms. You thinking shirt or apron for it?" Ralsei draws our their journal from a pocket. They're not even half as good at drawing as they are at needlework, ironically, but it does help them get their thoughts down.

"Perhaps an apron over a green shirt and brown pants, or a green set of robes. We may be able to find material that already has a faint subtle leaf pattern..."

[a_sweet_little_peach]

"I've got a number of materials to work with at my shop, but I always love finding more!" Truthfully, he's going to need to get a basement or attic to store them in at some point. His linen closet (used for very different linens than most people) is getting rather cluttered.
