[ (It was a struggle for Zelda, as well, to get convince Somnus to use a form of address that didn't make the princess uncomfortable. "Daughter of Hyrule" has been infinitely more tolerable than the "Daughter of the Goddess" he first addressed her as. For one who grew up seeing herself as a failure to her bloodline, Zelda couldn't bear to be addressed as such.)

"Do you like being Zelda" makes the princess's smile soften with nostalgia. Just Zelda. Before Songerein, her royal title weighed on her like shackles, a constant reminder of everything she was supposed to be and, ultimately, everything she had failed to be. In her adolescence, Zelda hated her title, just like she hated her divine powers. They were the sources of her misery growing up and symbols of her failure to protect her country from Calamity.

So when she awoke in the dream world and a chance encounter presented with the opportunity to be "just Zelda" for a little while, the princess took to it with gusto. Though she has long since stopped hiding her royal heritage, being "just Zelda" still holds a special place in her heart. ]

I like being Zelda.

[ She eventually answers in a tone which suggest she's talking about more than just the form of address. In the years since the defeat of Calamity Ganon, in a way she never did in her adolescence, the princess has grown to love being Zelda. ]
