Who: Anyone who loves dogs (and other animals!!)
Which: Dog Park Pet Open Log!
Where: Bark 'N Play Dog Park
What: An open log for anyone who has dogs and other pets can come and play...and do some park clean up by gathering leaves, deal with pumpkins, have some chickens visit, and also poke at some stone beetles. Note: set sometime later in the month after most of the leaf shenanigans have settled.
Warnings: Just adorable floofness
Late in the month, Eustace will have sent a journal post about needing some help cleaning up the Bark 'N Play dog park, and might as well bring dogs and other pets to play since they would likely enjoy all the leaves and whatnot that's there. Food and drinks for both pets and owners will be provided.
IMPORTANT!! Below are open prompts for anyone to use so feel free to toplevel either using the prompts or make something on your own! Eustace will have a small toplevel for himself for anyone who wants to meet or bother him, but the purpose of this log is to be open to anyone to use as they wish!

[For those who just want to have some fun, there is a designated section of the park with some picnic tables, benches, and even a grilling station setup. Eustace and Tifa will help cook up some quick food should anyone want anything, but there are ample amount of snacks, sandwiches, hamburgers, and other such foods available along with some water, punch, and warm teas and hot chocolate to drink.
The dogs, of course, will have their own treats and kibble available for a little snack, and there will be a bunch of toys scattered around for them to play with. Frisbees, tug ropes, balls of all sizes, bones, and other toys the dogs can share and play with. Of course, there are the "natural" offerings of lots and lots of sticks and leaf piles.]

[While most are likely here to just have fun and enjoy, the other goal of being at the park is to clean up, especially after that "storm" and everything else that's been going on.
Leaf piles will be made...and destroyed as dogs bust through them. It may be better to try and rake and push the leaves as far to the side and over the fence as possible, or try and bag them.
Pumpkins can also be found here and there, the smaller ones the dogs and other animals likely try and make fun with. They do look like they can pretty good to roll and carry around! Or maybe some will feel a bit more crafty and decorate the pumpkins to liven the park a bit, either by painting or carving out faces. No one said you can only do those during Halloween!
Somehow or another, some of the stone bugs from the Dream Board have made their way to the park and can be found burrowed in the dirt here and there. Some dogs are already sniffing them out, so perhaps a game or competition to see how finds the most can be made!
Oh no, who left the hose on!? Hope no one minds getting a bit of a wash as a dog or other animal has decided to take it and run off, spraying it this way and that way.
Finally, some of the chickens from that statue have wandered their way over, perhaps drawn by the smell of food. The dogs may start chasing them, but oh no!! It's the chickens chasing the dogs now! Help them!!]

Squirt some paint on a canvas, completely cover it in plastic film, spread the pets favorite creamy treat like peanut butter or whipped cream over it, and let them go to town licking it up. This will smear the paint around the canvas beneath, and once done, they'll have a unique painting!
2) Paw "prints. Whether a specific design like a flower, or just want their prints on a canvas, there is special safe paint available for owners to dip their pets feet in and let them walk over the canvas. Or give them a helping "paw" to spot paint.
Owners can of course add their own personal touch, even use their hands! Hopefully this will give a nice little memento for those who came by.]

Festus is having a grand time, flapping his wings to make the leaves fly everywhere and making the dogs go nuts, running around and chasing the other dogs, and even getting a good sniff here and there. The smaller dogs were hesitant of the lion sized automaton, but eventually, it was like he was just another dog running around, albeit a very big dog.
Leo, on the other hand, was glad to see Festus having the time of his life. He himself needed the distraction since Jason left. And what better way to distract himself than to annoy the guy that hates him most?
Leo slid up to the grilling area, poking his head around to check out the table and it's contents.]

He's more alive than you might think. He's an automaton, so he's special anyway, but my friend Charmspoke him into life. He's not just a machine.

There's just a slight furrow of his brow, not from lack of understanding. But because the word reminds him of the automagods of his world, and he wonders if they may be similar. They, too were capable of moving on their own, though he believed they had some kind of programming to do so...]
How does it...process it? And is it capable of losing control?

Best guess is he breaks down anything eaten in his "stomach", which is really just his furnace, and anything usable gets pulled into it's pipes to increase function. Otherwise it gets flushed out as waste.

As for losing control, nah. Not anymore, anyway.
[there was a time where Festus' "brain" was so damaged, it was a legit concern, but as many times as Leo had repaired him, adding in Piper's magic, Festus was fully autonomous. Did he glitch sometimes? Yeah, sure, but Leo did regular maintenance for that exact reason.]

[Leo's fixed him!! Promise!! When he found him, his memory discs were shot and Festus had no sense of being. Between all the work he had done to rebuild, repair, and maintenance Festus, there was no chance of that happening. Not to mention Piper willing him to more sentience with her magic.]
Seriously. I had him working fine back home, and I can do even more now that I've mostly figured out dreamotion, so he's working better than ever. With bonus upgrades and everything!

Yeah, when their hardware goes bad, that happens sometimes. Like with Festus. It just takes some love and care to get them back to themselves. There's a ton of them back home, most of them thanks to my dad. Did you know just about every statue in New York is an automaton? That's what I'm told, anyway. I didn't get to see it, I missed the whole Battle-of-Manhattan-stuff that Percy and everyone talks about-- not that you probably even know what New York is, do you? To be fair, I've never even been there myself, but it's like this huge city with more people that some other states--
