[December Catch-All]
Who: Maedhros & you
Which: Open log
Where: Various
What: An open log for December
Warnings: None as of yet
Protect the Trees!
[When he had set out on his daily wanderings through the Wildlands Maedhros had not counted on coming across a reminder of his home. He had only ever heard of the Onodrim before, never had he set eyes on one of the Ent-folk before and he certainly hadn't counted on seeing one of them here. He is fairly filled with awe at seeing them, and there is a slight sting of homesickness that makes his chest tighten a bit.
But it is a shortlived feeling when he finaly takes stock on the situation unraveling before him. The Ent's are neither alone, nor are they best pleased by their company, which is understandable. If he were a tree he would not be pleased with any axe-wielding people trying to give his branches a trim either. And so he feels he cannot leve this situation be, somebody needs to intervine before things get out of hand and somebody ends up hurt.]
Stop! If they do not want you to take an axe to them you cannot force them to comply.
This Is Our Get-Along Shirt!
[It had happened so suddenly, and completely out of nowhere as well, he really doesn't understand how it all came to be but he is stuck! And in such an undignified manner as well! No matter how much he strains and struggle against the hideous piece of fabric he is no closer to escaping it than he'd been when it first enveloped him. And his unfortunate fellow captive is not making things easier with their own struggling.]
'Tis the Season For Hugs
[He had been so lost in his own head that he visibly startles when the Fluff Gumdrop starts to circle him, making it's cooing little noises at him. Maedhros looks around, uncertain about what it is he's supposed to do. Trying to shoo the thing away does nothing and he'd very much like for it to leave him alone.]
What do you want, you little beast?

[He'd spent a lot of his time in the Wildlands, so he knew of quite a few places that would suit the lumberjacks needs.]
Coming back to this a million years later...
The rest he leaves entrapped in aetherial shackles to think about their life choices, because while he is not an Emissary, he is a sort of gaoler.]
Welcome back.
With that doen he turns to his companion with a greatful smile.]
My thanks, friend. I'm not sure I'd have been able to keep my temper in check for much longer had you not offered your aid and I have no wish to cause trouble here by starting a brawl.

[He smiles a little self-consciously. A brawl... might have caused more harm than good, given the number of axes involved.]
Do you frequent these woods?
no subject
[It would have been a mess to be sure, but not one that would have ended in the lumberjacks favor. Axes or no. Maedhros was used to fighting overwhelming odds, not to mention that he could be terrifying enough to send hordes of orcs running for the hills.]
I do. I've kind of made them my home. I do not feel overly comfortable in cities anymore, I fear, so I set up camp in the wilderness here.
